Professor Takeshi Imai from the Department of Developmental Neurophysiology has been appointed to the role of Distinguished Professor at Kyushu University.
The Distinguished Professor system is a distinctive Kyushu University initiative designed to support and invigorate advanced research activities that originate from free and open inquiry. This title is bestowed upon professors who have made exemplary contributions to their respective fields and who are instrumental in shaping the university's research strategy.
Since the establishment of this system in April 2009, the following professors from Kyushu University’s Faculty of Medical Sciences have been awarded the title of Distinguished Professor: Professor Koichi Akashi, Professor Takahiro Maeda, and Professor Yoshihiro Ogawa (current positions, in order of their conferment).
