Gallbladder cancer metastasizes to the liver via venous system

It's well known that cancers metastasize to organs via lymphatic as well as venous vessels. Associate professor Kengo Yoshimitsu (Dept. of Clincial Radiology) estimates the metastatic mechanism using an angio-computer-tomography. He applied this new equipment to inject contrast medium into an artery of the gallbladder for making a three-dimensional tomogram of its venous drainage, and found the gallbladder cancer metastasizes to the liver via venous system.
